Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic: Eve Aronoff is the chef/proprietor of what many consider Ann Arbor's best restaurant. And to distinguish the real-life Eve from the restaurant itself, the restaurant's name is all lower case. It is a direct reflection, however, of the chef whose distinctive menu, with hints of Asia and Africa in spices and seasonings. The approach is seasonal, with a menu that changes with the availability of fresh ingredients. Wine is emphasized, with wine flights seemingly on every table in the brick-walled, candlelit room. Typical dishes might include macadamia-crusted salmon, day boat scallops atop tagliatelle, sirloin of lamb rubbed with lavender and honey and braised pork.

To distinguish the restaurant from its creator, Eve Aronoff, the name on the door of the brick-walled space in Kerrytown is spelled with a small e.
Essentially, though, there's really not much difference between the real-life Eve and her restaurant alter ego. (Full review)
