Historian and author of the book Child Labor in America, Chaim Rosenberg describes the work that children performed during the Industrial Revolution and after, in factories, mines, and sweatshops, as well as selling newspapers, delivering telegrams and shining shoes. Rosenberg will also share the arguments for and against child labor, and the reform efforts which resulted in a national ban on child labor in 1938. Pre-registration is required.
