Dr. Micah Boyer, professor at Oakland University, will discuss his recent research in rural Beninese communities to the urban centers in Benin and especially Nigeria. He will explain the phenomenon of vidomegon, or human trafficking of children, and address the question: “why are kids going to work away from home, often in abusive situations, and what can we do about it?” Cost $5.
